Thank you so much for sharing this deeply, heart-felt account of your ongoing battle with Ursula. When I read your writing I just thought to myself, Vanessa is an incredibly powerful warrior! And...warriors need rest and pause as well and so I am so glad that you are taking this time for yourself and your healing/acceptance. On another, slightly lighter note, I would love to see how you map your goals to values as I nerd out on spreadsheeting my personal projects as well!
oh happy to share! i started with this activity to define my values (https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTED_85.htm) and i sorted them into "terminal" (end values) and "instrumental" (how to get there). i have a goals tab next to it that lists the goal, which value(s) it ties to, by when i want to achieve it, who my mentors are (if any), progress, and notes.
when i have goals that i can't link to values, then i revisit my values to see if they are really true.
lastly, i have a set of "check in" questions for each value to see if i am living it. and i record my responses over time. for example, one of my instrumental values is vulnerability. and my questions are:
+ Am I being vulnerable in my personal and professional relationships?

You are sooo wise! So inspiring!
thank you Ed! i miss you!
